How often a coffee machine needs to be descaled depends on how often it is used and the hardness of the water. If hard water is used it is recommended to descale once a month, if soft water is used once a quarter is sufficient.
To descale the coffee maker, it is recommended to use a liquid descaling agent which is labelled as suitable for coffee machines.
Espresso is a small amount of concentrated coffee.
The best-before date can be found on the packaging of the coffee beans. This best-before date applies as long as the bag is closed.
It is recommended to store coffee in an airtight and clean container.
How the coffee beans are ground strongly influences the taste of the coffee. If the coffee beans are very finely ground you will have a stronger taste and if the grind is coarser you will have a milder taste.
The Melitta Caffeo Solo has a height of 325 mm.
The Melitta Caffeo Solo has a width of 200 mm.

Make sure you have selected the correct temperature setting on the coffee maker. Additionally, preheating your cup and descaling the machine regularly can help maintain optimal temperature.
Check if the coffee grind is too coarse. Adjusting the grind to be finer can improve the strength of your brew. Also, ensure that you are using the correct coffee-to-water ratio and consider using freshly ground beans for a more robust flavour.
Double-check that the hopper is properly locked into place as it may activate the safety mechanism to prevent grinding. If the hopper is secure, examine if there are any obstructions in the grinder or if the beans have expired, as this may affect the grinding process.
Please make sure that there is an adequate amount of water in the water tank and that it is properly inserted into the machine. Additionally, check that the brew unit is correctly positioned and securely attached, as an incorrectly placed brew unit can prevent the brewing of coffee.
Clean the brew unit meticulously, including the filters, to remove any coffee grounds that may have accumulated. Moreover, take into account adjusting the grind size to a coarser setting, as a finer grind can occasionally lead to additional sediment in the cup.

Hello, I have a coffee maker for about 3 months. The coffee beans light up intermittently and I can't use the machine. Seems to have issues with the coffee grinder. Please indicate a service for me.
I have regularly performed the cleaning programs, but even though it grinds the beans, the coffee falls down in the drawer. There is also no water. What is the problem? Kind regards, Birgit Reuter

This message has been automatically translatedHello! My machine is starting to leak water under the water collector but only when I turn off the machine, and then it leaks after about 15-20 minutes, quite a lot about 1 dl of water. What could be the problem and can it be fixed? Best regards, Alejandro.
This message has been automatically translatedRespectfully! I purchased such a coffee maker used. Is it normal for it to consume a lot of water? A lot of water accumulates in the tray, and it needs to be emptied daily. What could be the issue and how can this problem possibly be resolved?
This message has been automatically translatedI wanted to rinse the brewing unit before we went on vacation for a week. I had recently run the cleaning program, so I was just going to open the unit without any cleaning program. The problem is that the handle got stuck so I can't remove the unit. I also can't brew coffee. I've tried turning it on and off again. Tried pressing the off button and cleaning button at the same time. I have a memory from before that there is some gadget in there that needs to circulate one notch, but nothing happens... The cleaning program button just blinks and nothing happens... How can I bring the handle back down to the brewing unit or get it to brew?

@Mario Hi there. I had the same issue and basically you need to press the middle button of your coffee machine for 3-4 seconds and to make sure the filter inside the water tank is fitted properly. The machine will rinse itself and all should be ok.
